Shalom city folks.
I hear you're up in arms over some migrants killing children, someone getting shot in the head in the NYC subway while unarmed people helplessly cowering in nearby subway cars waiting for NYPD to show up, the National Guard getting deployed in your city streets, and other city stuff that you might be dealing with.
I wish I could offer you some moral support, but we're pretty busy with what's going on here.
Like for example: we're getting ready to cover our blossoming peach trees to protect them from late-season frost; bush hogging to make way for more hay and grass; some goats ready to kid; a bunch of chicken and duck eggs ready to hatch, building a new aviary for our quails; building a better coop for our free-ranging fowl; taking our sheep out to pasture; trying to catch some fish from our creek to stock in our pond; put finishing touches on our greenhouse; getting more rounds for my shotgun in case I need to ward off coyotes; and lots of other pressing matters.
And now, in the midst of everything, a majestic blue heron just swooped over our heads through our valley, from the top of our south ridge, and perched in the tree above our house. Talk about distractions!
So as you can see, I won't be able to comment on your crises. Good luck with all that. Have fun in your city.
We're praying for y'all!
Shabbat Shalom from the farm
I want to live like this! Shabbat Shalom. Pikudei, an accounting!
Nice. Living the dream. Very happy for you.
