Blessings, you hit the nail dead center with this note. I feel very similar in regards. I almost feel like I am alone in the world and you come along with a note and share your thoughts. Thank you!

Thank you for putting into words what I feel, too. I’ve come to the same horrific conclusion about 4 years ago when my middle-schooler came home and asked me “mom, we all know about what happened in WWII, but what was WWI about?” I bumbled through that question, my son was content with my explanation, but I was left feeling dissatisfied with my own poor level of understanding, so I started doing my own research, and eventually realized “holy cow, we’ve been all lied too!” It was so traumatic but necessary. Then when he graduated high school, all the students that decided to head into the military, they got a standing ovation. Deep in my soul, I was left crying for these poor kids and their families.
