As a Jew I say the Shema twice daily. As we likely know the Shema is just a beautiful reciting of the 10 Commandments . The second commandment says it all. So I ask Rav Green, is not raising up Rabbis to the level of the mashiach not a form of idolatry? Our greatest prophet Moshe Rabeinu is only mentioned once in Pessach Hagaddah, Moshe not mentioned even once in the Temani hagadah. Yet Rabbi after Rabbi is exhalted in writing. I know all the mishigas or explanations why. I do believe that Rav Menachem Mendelson Schneerson would look unfavorably at the idol like worship given to him. For me as a Jew I have a direct line to HaShem. I respect my Rabbis for the knowledge & hopeful wisdom they can share. But I see them as a teacher. So I see your crusade on symbols that we should reject somewhat misguided. So much of what is orthodoxy today is Minhag.
Today the majority of those that keep kosher adhere to the 6 hour rule based on Rashi. There was a time not so long ago that the majority of Ashkenazi kept 4 hours, & the Dutch kept 1 hour. I could debate the inconsistencies of orthodoxy but that would be pointless. As my rule has been that HaShem commanded. But a beautiful art piece, a sculpture, a picture of the so called Buda has no meaning for me. I don’t recognize Buda as a g-d only HaShem. Let’s note that the Rabbis of yesterday gave us the names of the months of our Hebrew calender which are now named after Babylonian g-d’s. Sad but true. So for me the Magen David, the Menorah, the rainbow will always be Jewish Symbols. My pious mind only sees the beauty of HaShem in these symbols.

Am I wrong?
Thank you. Food for thought.
