Dr. Brien here. Although Governor DeSantis has taken a congratulatory lap after re-election for doing away with the edicts and opening Florida, he did not actually do so. The State of Florida closed to flatten the curve and did not reopen after 15 days. When Florida finally did reopen and the mask mandates were dropped by law in Florida, Governor DeSantis continued to allow private business, the medical industry, the schools, and houses of worship to continue with the mask mandates. I do not know a Shul who did not comply with the mandates and to this day all Jewish schools enforce the vaccine mandates. Most jewish day cares and education institutions will not accept religious exception although legal in Florida as reason for children not to be vaccinated. As a Jew and a physician this is outrageous. Dear Rav Green if you hear of a center for Jewish day care, education that excepts religious exemption please notify me. you're right. We could not find a jewish school anymore for our kids (and not for covid) they all seemed to not accept the only exemption left in florida (aside from medical). Actually Posnack school was more interested in knowing if our children were "up to date on their shots" rather than asking if they were "up to date" on school curriculum (we were in another country for a year with different curriculum) they actually made it to be the first thing to sign in the contract... so we said bye bye..

I know someone who is very frum and who moved from Michigan to a religious community in New York. Her son has autism. The new school/program did not force the child to get a covid vaxx but they did force the child to get all the other vaxxes he never got in Michigan because our state is more easy-going than New York. Even though the family are anti-vaxxers, they unfortunately capitulated and got the child all previous vaxxes except covid. The mom told me it was because of NY state law not the school and they could not get an exception. She said that she could see it was harmful to the child. Not sure if that is what you want as they didn't require the Covid vax but did require all the others. Chabbad Markham in Toronto ON did not allow participants into shul unless they were vaccinated.
On the contrary, Chabad of North Orlando has always been very welcoming irrespective of choice.
